Wilson County Fair

Lebanon is host to the annual Wilson County Fair, which is considered, by those organizations that rate State and County Fairs, to be the best county fair in Tennessee and one of the top county fairs in the country. In 2010 over 450,000 people attended. Be sure to mark your calendar for the Wilson County Fair!

The Mill at Lebanon is an Adaptive Reuse Project of the former Lebanon Woolen Mill, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a 200,000 sq ft mixed use facility including housing, retail, restaurants, offices, galleries and museums in addition to the event venues.

Lebanon Museum & History Center

Walk through history of Lebanon from prehistoric to modern times. Audio descriptions by famous residents introduce visitors to the periods on display and take advantage of the touch-screen computers for your own research. Hours: Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. In a joint effort with Cumberland University, special group tours will be held each Sunday between July 15 and October 7. Tours will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00am and admission is FREE, although donations are appreciated.

Lebanon Museum & History Center

Sellars Farm State Archaeological Area

During the Mississippian Period of Native American habitation in Tennessee, the Cumberland River Valley became the site of a cluster of fortified towns. One such town is now known as Sellars Farm inhabited from 1000 AD to 1300 AD.

At Sellars Farm, a walking tour of the site takes you through the area while learning about the inhabitants. An interpretive kiosk marks the beginning of the tour. Wilson County Archives

The Wilson County Archives was established in 1995. The archives is operated by the county government, which appointed the Public Records Commission to oversee the operation. Hours of operation are from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.
