Wilson County Big Fall Events at Fiddlers Grove {mosimage} Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 25 to come down to the James E Ward Agricultural Center. Wilson County Promotions will be hosting it’s first ever Antiques Appraisal Fair in the Veterans’ Building from 9a-3p. The Fair board has arranged to have ten antique appraisal experts to offer an opportunity for individuals to garner an assessment of family heirlooms or antiques of questionable value. There will be a $10 charge for each assessment. Guests attending the Antique Appraisal Fair can bring as many antiques as they would like. Stay around Fiddler’s Grove to participate or to be a spectator in the 2nd annual “Punkin’ Chunkin’ event. The Fair Board are encouraging schools, churches, businesses, scouts, and anyone else interested to design, build, and compete with their own version of a catapult. The trial launches begin at noon with the final competition at 5pm. Registration for the contest is at a nominal fee for youth and adult divisions. Awards will be given for each division. To register or for further information on either event, contact Wilson County Promotions: 615-443-2626.
