Lots to See and Do for Middle Tennessee Wine Buffs
Lebanon, TN (January 15, 2010) – The Wilson County Convention & Visitors Bureau is happy to announce the following upcoming events. On February 6th, a Murder Mystery Excursion Train will run from Nashville to the DelMonaco Winery in Baxter, TN. On the way to the winery, the train will stop to pick up additional customers in Mt. Juliet and Lebanon. After passengers take in a murder mystery play during the 168-mile trip, they’ll get a chance to enjoy live music, winery tours, wine tasting and a scavenger hunt at the winery. The family-owned winery also features a tasting room, gift shop, banquet hall, catering kitchen, private party rooms, and picnic areas.
The train ride is run by the Tennessee Central Railway Museum. The museum offers several other round-trip excursion rides from Nashville to Watertown throughout the year. The train rides provide residents and visitors a scenic view of middle Tennessee on fully restored, stainless steel coaches. Special events include train robberies, murder mysteries, trips to Watertown’s mile-long yard sale, and seasonal visits from Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Excursion train tickets can be ordered through www.tcry.org, by emailing
