Holiday Lights, Parades, North Pole Express and More!Lebanon, TN (November 4, 2009) – The Wilson County Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to bring you sample highlights of upcoming holiday events in our area. We have everything from parades to train rides with Santa, to holiday theatre musicals and amazing drive-thru light displays! Wilson County has something for everyone this holiday season! Get your holiday off to a start with Wilson Living Magazine’s Holiday Expo being held November 6-7 at The Mill at Lebanon! This event is FREE. Enjoy live entertainment and delicious cuisine. Let the kids visit with Santa Claus while you get a head start on Christmas shopping with over 100 exhibitors. You will not want to miss this incredible holiday event! If holiday musicals are more your style, make sure to check out “Holiday Magic!” presented by Millworks Theatre beginning November 12 and running through December 30. Celebrate the holiday season as you enjoy over 50 song titles, fantastic choreography and amazing costumes! Show times vary. Millworks Theatre is located in the Historic Mill at Lebanon. For something fun AND funny to do this holiday season, don’t miss Encore Theatre Company’s, “Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” beginning November 20 and running through December 6. This is a wonderfully funny story about the worst kids in the neighborhood turning the church Christmas show into the “Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” to everyone’s surprise! Show times vary. Another holiday favorite is the Tennessee Central Railway’s North Pole Express Train with Santa. The train will run November 28, December 5 and 12. Watertown will hold their annual holiday celebration, Christmas in the Country, on November 28. This annual celebration coincides with the Tennessee Central Railway’s North Pole Express Train with Santa. Ride the train to Watertown with Santa and celebrate the old-fashioned way. Wilson County is home to many amazing light displays including The Festival of Lights. The Festival of Lights driving tour is open from 5pm to 9pm, every Thursday through Sunday inside Historic Fiddler's Grove at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center from November 27 through the month of December. For only $5 per car, this beautiful display of lights will bring a smile to anyone's face! Another award-winning light display is Chad’s Winter Wonderland. This drive-through display of lights is truly spectacular! Pay $8 per car and see over 2000 lights and visit the live Santa. Take I-40E to 109. Go north on 109 to 791 E. Old Laguardo Rd in Lebanon. Open nightly Thanksgiving through New Years Eve. For more information, visit www.chadswinterwonderland.com. Enjoy the City of Lebanon’s Christmas Parade on December 6, beginning at 2pm. Experience the holiday cheer with marching bands, floats, Santa and so much more! Don’t miss the City of Mt.
