Lebanon is host to the annual Wilson County Fair, which is considered, by those organizations that rate State and County Fairs, to be the best County Fair in Tennessee and one of the top County Fairs in the country. Walk through history of Lebanon from prehistoric to modern times. Audio descriptions by famous residents introduce visitors to the periods on display and take advantage of the touch-screen computers for your own research. Hours: Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. In a joint effort with Cumberland University, special group tours will be held each Sunday between July 15 and October 7. Tours will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00am and admission is FREE, although donations are appreciated.

During the Mississippian Period of Native American habitation in Tennessee, the Cumberland River Valley became the site of a cluster of fortified towns. One such town is now known as Sellars Farm inhabited from 1000 AD to 1300 AD.
At Sellars Farm, a walking tour of the site takes you through the area while learning about the inhabitants. An interpretive kiosk marks the beginning of the tour. For group tour reservation information, please call Long Hunter State Park at 615-885-2422. Open 7-days a week for self-guided tours.

Long Hunter State Park is situated along the shore of J. Percy Priest Lake. It consists of four units: Couchville, Baker's Grove, Bryant Grove and Sellar's Farm. Picnicking, swimming, hiking, backpacking, boating, fishing, nature photography and wildlife observation are among the activities available to park visitors.
Planned activities include interpretive and recreation programs for the general public and environmental education programs for school and other interested groups.

The Wilson County Archives was established in 1995. The Archives is operated by the county government, which appointed the Public Records Commission to oversee the operation. Hours of operation are from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.
